BUDDY BEAR “Berlin Blue”
Berlin Blue celebrates the splendor of Berlin's sights from the classicist era and captures the essence of this historical period in a symbolic blue. Each of these bears is not only a decorative element, but also a piece of living history that honors Berlin's distinctive beauty and cultural heritage.
Berlin Blue is a tribute to Berlin's rich color history and cultural significance. Its vibrant, deep blue reflects the famous Berlin blue, a lightfast and inorganic pigment discovered around 1706 by Johann Jacob Diesbach, a paint manufacturer from Berlin. This hue, quickly adopted by painters at the Prussian court, in Rotterdam and Paris, including prominent artists such as the impressionists Monet and the expressionists Munch, represents an era of artistic revolution.
